 Clive Aston received his Ph.d. in economics from the London School of Economics before joining Citibank, Europe as a trade finance banker. He was a founding Director of the International Maritime Bureau for the International Chamber of Commerce. He then moved to Lloyd's of London as a political risk and kidnap and ransom insurance specialist where, over ten years, he rose to Executive Director. Clive moved back to Canada twenty years ago with CIBC's Trade Finance Division and set up CFIB in 1996 as a leading financial insurance broker.
